Tymia Yvette, known to her clients as Mia, is the Owner and Beauty Artist behind Tymia Yvette Beauty. Based in Baltimore, Maryland, Mia brings nearly 20 years of professional beauty experience spanning high end bridal artistry, private clients, production, corporate, editorial and on camera work. Creativity and beauty have been part of Mia's life for as long as she can remember. Growing up surrounded by family members with their own distinctive approaches to beauty, fashion and self expression, Mia was playing in her mother's makeup long before she could have known where that curiosity would eventually lead.
01 / THE JOURNEY
From Morgan State to M·A·C
Mia's creative path led her to Morgan State University, where she studied Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design. Her education and training in art and design helped develop the artistic foundation she would later bring into the beauty industry. While at Morgan State, Mia began working part time with M·A·C Cosmetics. What started alongside her studies grew into a 15 year career with the brand and eventually led to her role as a Trainer of Artistry & Development. With Maryland as her primary training hub, her work also included training and developing artists across Washington DC and Northern Virginia through larger regional and mega region trainings. Drawing from both her formal art education and professional makeup experience, Mia went on to train and develop hundreds of artists, teaching artistry and technique, product knowledge and performance, sales and ongoing artist development.
Mia is also a licensed Maryland eyelash extension technician with more than a decade of professional lash artistry experience and certifications from NovaLash, Xtreme Lashes, and Sugarlash PRO.

Where Artistry Has Taken Her
Over the years, Mia's work has taken her from weddings and private clients to New York Fashion Week, the BET Honors, the White House Correspondents' Dinner and the Baltimore Ravens Cheerleaders. Her more recent work includes The Rockefeller Foundation's Big Bets for America: Baltimore, alongside continued television, editorial, corporate and production work.
